My son is in high school. It's hard to get teens to listen to anything. Lindsey was amazing with him. Let him know where improvement was needed and why. Also, she didn't make him feel bad about it. Its sad this may be the last time we see the Children's Dentistry team since next year he will be in college. We have been going since they opened, they really are a special team. Thank you to the entire team.

My son was always fearful of going to the dentist and couldn’t sit or tolerate an appointment for more than a few minutes. We’ve been to other offices where I’ve had to sit him on my lap and almost restrain him to help the staff so that they could clean his teeth. Children’s Dentistry of Stratford has a desensitization program where you go in every 3 months in between your 6 month cleaning visits. During the desensitization visits, our hygienist Lindsay meets with my son and lets him play and check out all the dentist tools. These visits have been crucial in desensitizing (literally what it’s meant to do!) to everything in the dentist office. My son now sits in the chair by himself, and willingly opens his mouth for Lindsay. This is a great program for parents with children with special needs. We are so grateful for Lindsay’s care, patience, kindness and expertise. She has the most gentle approach and made every visit fun. She met him where he was and didn’t push him outside his comfort zone which only just made him more comfortable with her. She has a true gift in connecting with little kids which eased my own anxiousness as a parent. We highly recommend Lindsay and this practice!
