Dr. Sara
Pediatric Dentist
After earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, Dr. Sara completed a general postgraduate residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA. She then practiced dentistry in community health centers and was a clinical instructor at the University of Connecticut Health Center Advanced Education in General Dentistry for five years prior to specializing in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Sara received her post graduate certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Connecticut Health Center and is now a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is committed to continuing education and participates in numerous courses and seminars each year.
Most of all, Dr. Sara cherishes the relationships she’s formed with her pediatric patients. She is passionate about her work with them and sees to it that her patients are always safe and comfortable.
When she is not in the office, Dr. Sara spends time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys traveling, running half marathons, and discovering new places to eat. Dr. Sara is listed as a top pediatric dentist for 2019 by Connecticut Magazine.
Dr. Lyly Rodriguez
Dentist
Dr. Lyly earned her Doctor in Dental Surgery Degree from Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University (Lima-PERU) in 1999. She continued her postgraduate education and was certified with a Masters in Estomatology (Lima-PERU) in 2004. After that, she pursued her postgraduate education completing 3 years of Advance Education in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine ( AEGD residency and fellowship) in 2009. Dr. Lyly was trained in Advanced Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry using cutting-edge technologies in children and adults. She was trained with a solid foundation treating special needs patients in the OR at UConn John Dempsey Hospital.
After completion of her training, Dr. Lyly was invited to stay at UCONN School of Dental Medicine with a faculty position as clinical instructor spending her time between practicing Dentistry and teaching to both undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.
Additionally, Dr. Lyly is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut Dental Association and the Bridgeport Dental Association. She is fluent in Spanish and English, and also has basic knowledge of Japanese. She resides in Monroe, CT with her two sons and her husband.
She plays piano and enjoys all kinds of music.
Dr. Christine Wang
Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Christine completed her undergraduate education at Dartmouth College where she received a degree in Biomedical Engineering. She then moved to NYC for the next 6 years where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She then went on to complete her special training in Pediatric Dentistry at Columbia University – New York. Dr. Wang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Christine loves working with children and strives to provide the highest quality care with a positive and compassionate approach. Dr. Christine lives in West Hartford with her husband Matt. In her free time Dr. Christine enjoys running, exploring new hikes, playing tennis, and catching up on tv shows.
Dr. Susie Shim is a board certified pediatric dentist who strives to create memorable and special memories at the dentist. She devotes her energy for exceptional care and aims to educate her patients for optimal lifelong oral health. As a mother of two boys, she understands the importance of compassionate care and respect. Her favorite aspect of the job is seeing her patients growing up and sharing their experiences in and out of the dental office. Prior to specializing in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Susie graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry for her doctorate degree in dental surgery. Afterwards, she continued her education through an advanced education of general dentistry and even practiced as a general dentist in Hawaii. Her true passion for pediatric dentistry was evident and she pursued her speciality at a Level 1 trauma center – St. Barnabas Hospital. From there, she became board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She has been serving the Fairfield County region for almost ten years.
In her free time, she likes to do crafts with her children, impromptu dance parties with her family, and keep up with her fitness. Whenever she can snag a babysitter she loves to go golfing or hiking with her husband. Dr. Susie is always looking for new places to check out.
